I have been reading “Picnic at Hanging Rock” and have been enjoying a lot! That book is what inspired the drawing. πΏπππ·ππ²
For this one, I used a LOT of reference with the vintage dress, hat, flowerpot, and the frame in the back of the picture. So, I say to you, it is completely fine to use reference if you don’t know what something looks like!
